Buying Your First Property in the Netherlands

The first step is to familiarize yourself with the options. We have put together a step-by-step plan to create extra clarity. Below is an overview of the 6 steps.

Step 1: Orientation & Budget

A free consultation with one of our advisors to determine your maximum borrowing capacity. In addition, we will draw up a plan together for the start of the bidding process.

Step 2: Looking for a home

Looking for a suitable home together with a real estate agent or starting the search via Funda. Our experienced advisors have the right network to help you on your way.

Step 3: Bidding & Buying a home

When your dream home has been found, the bidding starts fairly quickly and you have to wait for the acceptance of the buyers. After your offer has been accepted, the purchase agreement is drawn up.

Step 4: Starting the mortgage application

For the mortgage application, the important documents are collected as quickly as possible. In the meantime, one of our mortgage advisors will help you with all the information.

Step 5: Notarial transfer

After the mortgage application has been fully completed, the relevant documents are sent to the relevant notary's office for the transfer of ownership.

Step 6: Aftercare & Insurances

We stay in touch to make sure everything went well, such as the transfer, the necessary insurances and tax information.
